Jeffrey Mix: Author/Creator
Writer, personal trainer and longtime adherent of yoga, Jeffrey has been bringing wellness to the lives of adults and children for over 15 years, in places as diverse as Honolulu, Seattle, Italy, Guatemala, and Boulder. Jeffrey holds degrees in both Sports Medicine and Kinesiology. His resume includes a year of work in the children’s ward of Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu, doing post-operative rehabilitation, teaching functional fitness classes for kids at ZUM Athletic Club in Seattle, and coaching track and field at the junior high/high school level. Jeff’s publishing credits include a series of travel essays for Washington State’s Board of Tourism and regular articles on health and fitness issues for the whole body and wellness magazine, Active Cities, U.S.A, where he is a staff writer. His work has also been featured in Shape, Oxygen, Yoga Journal and Yoga Fit magazines. Working artist, musician, yoga devotee and self-avowed advocate for peace and a sustainable existence. She is committed to educating children about environmental issues, and promoting cross-cultural awareness through the use of illustrations in relationship to native plants, animals, and people. Katherine holds a B.F.A. from St. Lawrence University and has pursued post-graduate studies at Parsons School of Design. Her work has been shown at galleries in New York, Connecticut and Colorado.
